CTFEG affiliate ARCH Community Outreach (ACO), the charitable arm of ARCH Education, is a non-profit charity (IR File No.91/11870) aimed at broadening Hong Kong youth’s exposure to international education experiences and diverse careers networks. ACO was founded in 2011 and has served more than 7,600 students in its first decade.
A portion of ARCH Education’s profits is donated annually to ACO to further its educational outreach initiatives that provide global learning opportunities for local students. ACO is also additionally supported by corporate and individual sponsorships that help fund specific programmes and provide unique opportunities to participating students.
ACO collaborates with academic institutions, corporations and NGOs to organise, support and deliver various Widening Access and Widening Participation Programmes, bridging the gap for high-achieving but under-represented students from across Hong Kong. Through its signature Careers Programme, it aims to provide students with guidance and mentorship, which empower them to pursue academic and career success and make a positive impact on their communities.
Providing the Tools Educators Need
ACO works in close partnership with local secondary schools to equip teachers and counselors with the tools and information to help under-resourced students apply to competitive universities overseas. By attending workshops, university application and scholarship talks and through admissions counselling, students can maximise their potential and chances of acceptance to top UK and US universities. The support extended by ACO’s team of consultants and tutors is free of charge for all students.
Delivered career programmes and internships in collaboration with corporate sponsors.
Together with The University of Hong Kong as a supporting partner, ACO has held the Global Aspiring Medic Conference since 2015.
